I love the pattern of this blanket. It is so easy to do and looks like a more experienced crocheter completed it! It is a yarn hog, though. But since it is predominately a baby blanket, you can still keep it manageable and low cost. I also like the Lion Brand Softee recommendation. It is very soft.

I belong to a Service Knitting/Crochet group at my church. We produce a lot of baby blankets, scarves, shawls & lap rugs for the needy in our community. This pattern will be well-used in our efforts to keep our less fortunate neighbors warm during the colder months.

The pattern looks beautiful and I can hardly wait to start it. Just finishing another project.
I have not made these yet, but I have two babies due to arrive in the next month. So I am doing hat mittens sweater and socks. I decided that doing a baby sock was also good practice for gussets and heels. The pattern is adorable.
