Lace Back Cardigan

Create Casual Elegance with our Lace Back Cardigan Knitting Pattern!

Use worsted weight yarn to knit a simple oversized cardigan with lace back in sizes XS-3XL.

Techniques you need to know to knit this pattern include the knit stitch, purl stitch, slip slip knit (ssk), how to knit 2 together (k2tog), and yarn over (yo).

This sweater is knit in one piece from the bottom, then divided for front and back.  It is a drop shoulder design, so there is no armhole shaping, so no changing the lace pattern once you get it going.

The sleeves are picked up and worked in the round, so the only seaming is at the shoulders and collar.  VERY minimal shaping and seaming, so a great cardigan pattern with just a touch of a challenge with an easy lace pattern.

1. Yarn: Lion Brand Jeans, Faded, 5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 8, 9)
2. Needles: US Size 6 (4.00mm) and 7 (4.5mm) circular needles and dpns
3. Notions: Yarn needle, stitch holders, stitch markers, scissors
